There weren't enough clouds.

This morning I was listening to the local News and I thought the anchor said, "there just weren't enough clouds" - I stopped what I was doing to pay closer attention as I thought WOW she needs an attitude adjustment. After a few seconds of listening to the story I quickly realized what she had actually said was, "there just weren't enough PLOWS" as in SNOW PLOWS!
All week I thought this Friday the date would be the 26th NOT THE 19th. I wanted to skip an entire week of February! I guess my mind is done with winter...
As much as I have loved being inspired by the landscape of the winter season. The gray skies AND CLOUDS.
And the beauty of the snow...

part of me is super excited for SPRING.
I posted this painting today on my social media as it reminded me of the beautiful colors that are just around the corner waiting to emerge from the ground. The 36x48 piece I painted last year to bring to the Penrod Arts Festival, that ended up being cancelled. I don't know for sure if Penrod will happen or not this year. FINGERS CROSSED FOR SURE, but I felt like it was better to offer this piece now rather than wait again. I feel like this could make a nice backdrop for a meditation space or perhaps as some scenery in a space where you begin to plan your summer garden.

I know the winter has been long for so many of you. With having to be away from friends and family, we all are feeling the effects of this isolation. Please feel free to reach out to me if you ever need a friend to talk to. We can always FaceTime and Doodle for a bit together or I can show you what's on my palette - sometimes just looking at all of the beautiful colors makes me feel better. We will get to SPRING soon I promise!
Stay Safe, Warm and Healthy
